SUMMARY:63nd Defense Working Group on Nondestructive Testing
DESCRIPTION:Dirk Steiner will be presenting on the topics of “Machine Learning and Digital Twins in NDT” on Wednesday at 11:45 in Room Crystal AB \n\nSCOPE\n\n\n\n\nTo provide an annual forum for engineers\, scientists\, technicians\, and managers from all departments of defense activities who have responsibility for development of application of nondestructive testing methods or techniques in research\, engineering\, maintenance\, and quality assurance. \n\n\n  \n\n\nOBJECTIVES\n\n\n\n\n\nTo interchange information pertaining to nondestructive testing methods\, equipment\, and applications among attendees and their respective Defense Department establishments.\n\n\nTo present technical problems submitted by various agencies to the assembled nondestructive testing specialists and technicians so that they\, utilizing their knowledge\, skills and experience\, may advance solutions.\n\n\nTo encourage uniform practices in the application of nondestructive testing methods.\n\n\nTo provide the opportunity for establishing personal contact among similarly employed specialists and thus to provide attendees with continuously available resources of additional knowledge and experience.\n\n\n\n  \nAttendance Eligibility: \n\nGeneral Requirements: All sessions are unclassified. US Citizenship required.\nEach session will be controlled and monitored by a Military or DoD Civilian for compliance with the requirements for topics of discussion.\nClosed Sessions: Open to Military\, US Government Civilians\, and Contractors working directly for Military Organizations utilizing NDT test methods for inspection and quality control of US Military and Defense hardware. More restrictions may apply.\nOpen Sessions: Open to all US citizens working in the Defense Sector as an NDT professional and to Department of Energy NDT professionals.\n\nTraining Sessions: \n\nTraining is open to all attendees. Please select which training you would like to attend.\nTraining will be held on 08/17 in the morning (4 hrs) and afternoon (4 hrs) and on 8/18 in the morning (4 hours).\n\nSchedule at a Glance: \n\n08/16\, Sunday: (4 pm – 6 pm) early registration and meet and greet with introductions (6pm to 9pm)\n08/17\, Monday: Training Sessions\n08/18\, Tuesday: Training Session in the morning and Technical presentations sessions\n08/19\, Wednesday: Technical presentations\n08/20\, Thursday: Technical Breakout Sessions\n08/21\, Friday : (a.m. only) Meeting conclusion and action item updates\n\n*Schedule subject to change
