Digital Radiography (DR/2D)
Digital Radiography (DR), is a 2D x-ray inspection solution that uses a digital system in place of film. It allows for real-time scanning, with the option for quick adjustments and digital enhancements. You’ll save time and money with DR.
X-ray Results
DR captures images in real time, relaying the information on a monitor. Static images or live video can be recorded.

Limitations
2D images lack the depth of 3D scanning. Details are often superimposed, one on top of the other, potentially obscuring important information.

X-ray Results
CT delivers detailed results with 3D images, by painstakingly capturing the part at different intervals.
Recommended X-ray Items
- Castings
- Failure Analysis
- NDT
- Plastics
Limitations
Large parts and objects with high-density parts or flat dimensions may affect the quality of results.

Computed Tomography (CT/3D)
Computed Tomography (CT) delivers 3D images by rotating the part 360 degrees and capturing detailed information at various intervals. It’s noninvasive and provides dimensional analysis by making it possible to digitally slice through parts in whichever direction you need to assess the internal structure. 3D scanning is ideal for complex parts.
High Energy 2D/3D Services
High energy 2D/3D scanning uses higher energy levels to scan through very thick parts. It allows for imaging with energies in the range of 320kV to 6MeV, to get through the thickest of sections. Applications are ideal for engine blocks, turbine engine blades, and more.
X-ray Results
DR/CT scans are completed at higher energy levels than the typical 225kV system. The thickest parts are scanned with energies from 320kV to 6MeV.
