Chip Sorting System

Pinnacle developed a fully automatic X-ray system to detect HDI (high density inclusions) in master alloy granules.

Material is fed by a vibratory feeder onto a 10″ wide belt.

The belt move the metal through tunnels and will be scanned by a line detector.

Pinnacle developed software to automatically detect HDI in the metal.

Detected HDI will be removed accurately by a vacuum system by a servo controlled X -axis.

The system can run up to approximately 1,300 lbs per hour.

Belt speed and sensitivity can be adjusted and stored for different recipes.
